Heartopia Multiplayer and Co-op — Playing with Friends

Heartopia multiplayer is built around the random neighbor system, not traditional friend lists. Other players appear in your town organically every time you log in. You can wave, chat, visit their house, or ignore them. But if you want to play specifically with friends, the game supports that too. How to invite friends
Open the Social menu (bottom-right), search for your friend's username, send a friend request. Once accepted, you can see when they are online and teleport to their town if they have their lot set to public. You can also form a party — party members see each other on the map and can share fishing/hobby exp bonuses. Parties are limited to four players.
- Friend request: search by username (case-sensitive).
- Party up: up to 4 players, shared exp bonus for same-zone activities.
- Co-build: friends can place furniture on your lot if you grant edit permissions.
- Hobby parties: fishing together gives a 15% exp bonus per extra player.
