Heartopia house exterior customization is often overlooked by new players. Everyone rushes inside to decorate rooms, but the outside of your house is the first thing other players see when they visit. You can change roof tiles, wall paint, door style, windows, fences, pathways, and even add a front garden. The exterior editor is separate from the interior editor and unlocks after you finish your first room.
Exterior customization options
- Wall paint: 24 solid colors plus 8 wallpaper patterns for exterior walls.
- Roof styles: Flat, sloped, gabled, thatched, tiled. Each has 12 color options.
- Door styles: Wooden, iron, glass-panel, arched. Change the handle color too.
- Windows: Round, square, bay, arched. Add shutters in any color.
- Fences: Picket, stone, hedge, wrought iron. Match the height to your house size.
- Pathways: Cobblestone, brick, gravel, stepping stones. Curve or straight.
Garden design basics
The area around your house is yours to landscape. Plant flowers, place outdoor furniture, add a mailbox, and install lighting. The garden affects your house's overall 'decor score', which determines visitor ratings. A high decor score attracts more NPC visitors to your doorstep, giving you extra daily gift opportunities.
